The NIIT Academy has forged academic alliances with the
following internationally recognised universities: RMIT
University, Melbourne, Australia
Degree: Bachelor of Applied Science in Information Technology
RMIT University is one of Australia’s leading
educational institutions, formed in 1887 and has grown
to become one of the largest in the country. It has
built a worldwide reputation for excellence in vocational
and technical education and research. The University
has 57,000 students studying at RMIT campuses in Melbourne,
Victoria & Vietnam. The University offers programmes
online, by distance education and at partner institutions
throughout the world.
University of South Australia, Australia
Degree: Bachelor of Information Technology (Software
Engineering) and Master of Information Technology UniSA
was founded on January 1, 1991 through the amalgamation
of the South Australian Institute of Technology and
the Magill, Salisbury and Underdale campuses of the
South Australian College of Advanced Education. Since
then, it has quickly earned a reputation as a national
leader in collaborative research, has been recognized
nationally for innovation in teaching and has South
Australia’s largest intake of international students.
UniSA has strong and expanding links in teaching, research,
consultancy and continuing education with partners in
Asia, Europe, Africa and North America. UniSA has grown
rapidly to be a major provider of Australian higher
education offshore and has the largest number of international
students in Adelaide. It now has the 5th largest number
of international students in the country and international
students make up close to 30 per cent of its students
compared to the national average of 21 per cent.
University of Canberra, Canberra, Australia
Degree: Bachelor of Information Technology and Master
of Information Technology. This is an internationally
recognized institution with a mission to provide the
highest level of professional undergraduate education
in Australia. The University provided 30 different professions;
among them is IT, which can either be in full time or
part time. It also provides a variety of short courses
through its professional development programmes. The
University has approximately 10,000 students from over
90 countries, 60 per cent of whom are 25 years and below,
55 per cent women and 37 per cent studying in part time
courses, while about 20 per cent are enrolled in post
graduate courses.
Deakin University, Melbourne, Australia
Degree: Bachelor of Information Technology in Computer
Science and Software Development, Bachelor of Information
Technology in Systems and Master of Information Technology
Deakin International is one of Australia’s largest
universities, providing all the the resources of a major
university to more than 32,000 award students. Established
in the 1970s as one of the new generation of Australian
universities, Deakin successfully combines a university’s
traditional focus on excellent teaching and research
with a desire to challenge conventional practices and
to seek new ways of developing and delivering courses.
Deakin’s courses have been developed to be relevant,
practical and up-to-date. It has also won the Good Universities
Guide of the Year Award twice - in 1995/1996 for its
clever use of technology in education and in 1999/2000
for its partnerships with industry.
