| Hole in
the wall experiment is yet another imaginative and innovative
attempt from NIIT to simplify computers for uneducated
slum children through the use of unmanned computer kiosks.
As of now, over 65 such kiosks dot the country’s
rural landscape bringing joy and IT to the disadvantaged
sections of India’s millions. NIIT
has been helping all segments of society, including
the disabled, in unleashing the power of computing.
NIIT has developed I-Learn, an educational system for
the disabled. For the spastics and the visually impaired,
NIIT has created a Computer Assisted Teaching and Rehabilitation
program (CATERED).
